Gatewen Training has been established now for over 30 years as a transport training centre, offering a wide range of courses for both Companies and private individuals.
Gatewen has been through many changes during its long history, constantly adapting to meet the new challenges of transport training, as well as ensuring that the needs of all customers are met.
We pride ourselves in providing some of the highest standards of training in the country and have a team of highly qualified staff who are on hand at all times to assist you in any way during your course. Our training centre and instructors are RTITB accredited.
Here at Gatewen we have many unique attributes. We are the only centre in North Wales to be RTITB LGV accredited and we also have our own off the road manoeuvring area at the centre, which enables our trainees on LGV courses to practice such difficult manoeuvers as reversing, which is set out in the driving test. We have our own Fork Lift training area and warehouse, as well as offering in-house classroom facilities for your ease.

 Gatewen is also an approved training provider for the ILA(Individual Learning A/C), through learndirect. Applicants must be over 18 and live in Wales, please contact us for details.
We can also provide an instructor for training courses using customer vehicle for the the following:-

Category B+E (Training/Test or Refresher) - car + trailer
- Category C1 - vehicles between 3.5 and 7.5 tonne with trailer up to 750kgs.
- Category C1+E - vehicles between 3.5 and 7.5 tonne with trailer over 750kgs.
- Category D1 - Minibus (Training/Test or Refresher)
- Category D1 + E Minibus (Training/Test or Refresher) + trailer over 750kgs
- Category D - Vehicles over 9 metres
