Course Information
Drivers of vehicles with a maximum permissible weight of more than 3.5 tonnes, carrying dangerous goods in packages and/or tanks, which are subject to CDG-CPL regulations, are required to attend an approved course of training and pass the examinations necessary to obtain an ADR licence.
All centres operating these courses must meet stringent safety regulations and be approved by the Department of Transport. Gatewen are approved to hold courses both at their training centre in Wrexham or in-house on company premises. The courses are based in a series of modules as follows.

| TITLE: FULL COURSE |
DURATION: 5 DAYS |
| The minimum number of modules that must be taken from the above list is 2 from the mandatory modules plus at least 1 from the optional modules. The examinations are taken at Gatewen and are sent to the City & Guilds of London to be marked. A licence is sent direct from the DVLC at Swansea on each module passed and is valid for 5 years. |

| Shorter courses are available if you do not require all of the above modules. As a set programme is required for the courses, you will have to sit in on the relevant days to cover each module plus the examinations |
| TITLE: REFRESHER COURSE |
DURATION: <3 DAYS |
| We also offer refresher training and examinations for existing licence holders, as all licences expire after a period of 5 years. Refresher training and examinations can be taken any time during the last year of the licence and your next licence will then run consecutively, but must be taken a minimum of 8 weeks before expiring. |
